Rough Rice Futures Contract
Rough Rice futures contracts enable both speculators and hedgers the opporutnity to participate in this widely used commodity. Rough rice is the whole rice grain as it’s harvested — with the protective hull still intact. Rice is consumed by more than half of the people in the world, making it the most-consumed grain on the planet. But, at about 480 million metric tons per annum, rice ranks 3rd in production, after corn and wheat.
